Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about the Snowco Project Initiation & Configuration Platform.
What is the Snowco Platform?
It is an internal platform for standing up and managing client work. It brings two workflows together: Project Initiation, where account teams start and shape new projects, and Configuration, where the service catalog that those projects draw from is defined and maintained.
What are the different roles?
Access is role-based. A Configurator curates the catalog — categories, tactics, services, deliverables, and the questions attached to them. A Project Initiator (account team) starts projects and works through the initiation experience. Additional roles such as reviewer and admin are supported as the platform grows.
How is the configuration catalog structured?
The catalog is a hierarchy: Categories → Tactics → Services → Deliverables, with Questions scoped to the level where they are relevant. This structure drives what a Project Initiator sees, so keeping it accurate and well-organized directly shapes the initiation experience.
How do I sign in?
Sign-in is handled through single sign-on. During the current preview you may see demo sign-in options that let you explore the platform as a Configurator or a Project Initiator; these are replaced by your organization's Okta identity once it is enabled.
Is my work saved automatically?
Configuration changes are persisted as you make them and are protected by optimistic concurrency, so two people editing the same item will not silently overwrite each other. If a conflict is detected you will be asked to review the latest version before saving.
Where can I get help?
For access requests, issues, or feedback, contact your Snowco platform administrator or the account team lead for your engagement.
